Tech Group Mexico Expands as Production Needs Grow

Guadalajara, Mexico (May 17, 2004) - In an effort to respond to the needs of its customers, The Tech Group is pleased to announce the expansion of their Tech Group Mexico facility.

The expansion is a necessary part of meeting the increased demand for clean room molding and assembly, as well as, manufacturing for both the healthcare and consumer markets in Latin America. "There are very few clean room molding and assembly operations in the interior of Mexico," states Tom Podesta, Tech Group Vice President of Sales & Marketing - Healthcare. "Over the past two years, we have seen additional requirements for clean room manufacturing in support of injection molding and contract assembly. Further, we have proven systems for manufacturing high volume products that require complex automation. As Mexico's economy expands, we anticipate continued growth in the Consumer Products sector."

According to Kevin Fraser, Tech Group Mexico Plant Manager, two major medical companies have committed to moving key devices down to Mexico. These products involve full contract manufacturing services. Tech Group Mexico intends to apply for FDA registration once the assembly line is completely installed and is awaiting a formal FDA audit. The company also plans to hire up to 24 people to accommodate the additional manufacturing requirements.

Tech Group Mexico was a 1998 Greenfield project to support the growing Mexico economy as well as to establish a low cost manufacturing facility for existing Tech Group customers. With the addition of an FDA validated clean room and manufacturing site, The Tech Group expects to rapidly expand its fast growing medical device business.
