After having received his MBA from Columbia University in 1968 majoring in corporate finance as a Fulbright scholar, Hal Tashman started his professional career working on Wall Street for a major public accounting firm. He joined The Tech Group in l972 as Controller and held a variety of positions from CFO to his current position as Executive Vice Chairman and senior partner of The Tech Group. He was also the founding President of Top Seal and Star Container.

Hal is currently the Chairman of the Tech Group Foundation which funds charitable projects and is actively involved in various non-profit organizations which include Arizona State University, Columbia University, Arizona Biomedical Institute, and the Turkish-American Business Forum based in New York City.
